VOICE DICTATION
Say it. It's written.
Hold a key, speak, let go. The text lands where your cursor blinks — chat, documents, terminal. No copying, no pasting, no switching windows.

01
It lands where you were already writing
No window to open, no clipboard. Your cursor stays exactly where you left it, and the sentence arrives inside it — in the conversation you're having, the document you have open, the search box you're standing in.
Spoken language is full of restarts and words that carry nothing; the text that belongs in your document is not. You can switch this tidying off: for minutes of a meeting or a verbatim record, rephrasing would be a falsification.
02
Three gestures, nothing to learn
01
Hold
Ctrl + Windows, or whichever combination you prefer. No window opens, nothing pulls you out of what you were doing.
02
Speak
At your own pace, hesitations and all. A small panel shows the microphone level: it is the only visible proof that it is really picking up.
03
Let go
The text appears exactly where you were writing. Nothing to copy, nothing to paste, nothing to reopen.
03
What the others do not do
Everywhere
In any program. Diktun writes where your cursor blinks, whether that is a word processor, a chat window, a search box or a terminal. No add-on to install app by app.
Instruction mode
Say the gist, get the written text. “Tell Julie we're moving to Friday and that I'm sorry” becomes an email. You read it before a single character is written.
A recording, not just your voice
Drop in a file — a voice note someone sent you, a memo, an interview — and get the text back, with your vocabulary applied. It is the one thing on this list our most visible competitor does not do at all.
Register, not just words
The same sentence does not belong in a chat window the way it belongs in an email. Pick the register — message, email, notes — and Diktun formats accordingly. Raw mode touches nothing, for the minutes where rephrasing would be a falsification.
Your own vocabulary
Proper nouns, acronyms, the terms of your trade. It is the single setting that changes transcription quality the most, and the one nobody else makes this easy.
Speak one language, write in another
You dictate in French, the text comes out in English. Same gestures, same shortcut, nothing else to change.
Your notes, inside Claude and ChatGPT
Diktun exposes your notes and history to any assistant that speaks MCP. “Find what I dictated yesterday about the Mercier file” becomes a question you can ask. Reading and writing notes only: an assistant can neither dictate nor spend anything.
What does not stay behind
Audio is never kept: it is transcribed, then thrown away. Text is kept for as long as you decide, and zero days is a valid answer — real deletion, with no thirty-day bin.

What people ask us
Does it work without a connection?
Not yet. Local mode — the model runs on your machine, nothing leaves it — is being built and will land in the paid plans. We would rather tell you than list it and let you find out after paying.
Is my audio kept?
No. It is transcribed, then thrown away. What you can keep is the text, in a history whose length you set yourself. Zero days means zero days, and deletion is real: there is no thirty-day bin.
Which languages?
Diktun works out the language on its own, among the ones you switch on, five at most. Narrowing the set is what makes detection reliable: on a two-second sentence, detection open to a hundred languages often gets it wrong.
Why does Windows show a warning when installing?
Because the installer is not signed yet, and a certificate costs several hundred euros a year. Windows is not saying the file is dangerous: it is saying it has not seen it before. The download page shows where to click.
What about Mac, iPhone, Android?
Android is on its way to the Play Store. macOS and iPhone follow. Your account and settings are the same everywhere: what you set up on one device shows up on the others.
